Might work if you plan to put fresh battery acid in it afterward.
Otherwise, use Aluminum Sulfate (food grade for pickling or the stuff in
the garden department). It may or may not work, depending on the battery
and your expectations - the deader the battery, the deader the results,
but new batteries don't work with it - best results seem to come from
"mid-life" batteries. See the yahoo group regarding that under
"batteryconversions", download and read the "getting started" files, be
careful.
